Pulsar lost colony take over ship1/8/2024 ![]() You can see large stockpiles of minerals and food - the latter of which I am currently using to try and pop-boom my planets with the relevant Colony Decision. ![]() Resources: I probably haven't optimised my production output and as the mechanics of economics are reasonably complex and still only becoming apparent to me, but I've avoided any major issues. I haven't looked into them yet, but there's something of the used-car-salesmen about them. And I've also been recently contacted by a trading station on the east of the galaxy, far away from us all. Finally, there's a Fallen Empire, the Othethi, just to the north of the Gurites who, aside from being inevitably and phenomenally powerful, are content to snooze away and make supercilious comments about young races reaching for secrets that will lead to our own destruction. The Lokken are also a buffer for us from the xenophobic Themlar, a biological species who don't recognise the right of any other race than their own to exist, and who openly claim their intent to kill us all if they get the chance. If the Lokken are my Vulcans, the Gurites are a rather vulgar Romulan Empire. The Gurites however are another matter - belligerent and hostile since day one. I see them as the Vulcans to my Humanity. I've recently founded a colony with Lokken migrant settlers. We are great friends with the Lokken - our friendly lizard allies - with whom we have the full array of pacts and agreements. The neighbours: My nascent empire (in blue) has the Lokken to the west and the Gurites to the east. Internally, my Empire is is satisfactory shape, although I haven't expanded very efficiently (still learning!) and have an Empire Sprawl about 30 or 40 points above my administration capacity. That probably conveys much of the relevant information, but there's much more to summarise and discuss. I've taken a couple of screenshots to convey more information more quickly. In my alltime favourite game, Sid Meier's Alpha Centurai, my faction of choice was always Deidre Skye and the Gaians - the ultimate builders. My preferred playstyle: In most games of this nature I like to play Builder-style empires, focusing on having a solid base and strong economy which, by the mid- and late-game, can outpace the faster and more aggressive "rush" empires that dominate the early game. My agenda for this playthough: Roleplaying a "good and ethical" empire, and to learn as I go My Empire: United Nation of Earth (unedited) However I'm now very much in the "mid-game", and the actions I'm now considering taking are a little more formidable, and I wanted to discuss the situation and get some advice.įirst a little context and necessary points:Įxpansions & DLCs: Leviathans, Utopia, Synthetic Dawn, Apocalypse, Distant Stars So far I've been feeling my way and learning as I go, with plenty of references to the invaluable Wiki and occasionally looking for support for other queries by searching the forums here and on steam. I'm thoroughly enjoying my first playthrough of Stellaris.
